Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has confirmed that Hakimi’s surgery went well. The club announced on their official website that Hakimi successfully underwent surgery on his left ankle at a clinic in Doha, Qatar. He will now take a few days off before starting rehabilitation.

Hakimi, a forward for PSG, joined the team last season and made significant contributions to the attacking line alongside Kylian Mbappe. With Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid this season, Hakimi’s role became even more crucial, but he suffered an injury in the opening game of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 season against Reims.

The initial injury assessment was inconclusive, with coach Luis Enrique expressing concern about the severity of the injury. PSG later announced that Hakimi’s expected recovery time would be three months. While his rehabilitation progress could potentially shorten his return time, for now, PSG will have to cope without him for at least three months.

In light of Hakimi’s injury, PSG is considering signing additional attackers in the remaining transfer window. According to PSG insider ‘PSG Post,’ the club is interested in signing Victor Osimhen before the transfer window closes.

Osimhen is likely to leave Napoli this summer, and PSG had been monitoring him as a potential replacement for Mbappe. While negotiations with Napoli have stalled, Osimhen is now heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, although PSG could still make a move for him.
