Jermaine Jenas, known for his roles on The One Show and Match of the Day, has been dismissed by the BBC due to complaints about his behavior at work. His contract was terminated this week following allegations of misconduct.
Jenas, a former footballer, has been removed from both of his primetime shows. The allegations involve digital communications, such as texts, which were brought to the attention of the corporation a few weeks ago.
In response to the news, Jenas stated that there are “two sides to every story” and that he will leave the matter to his legal team to handle. He expressed his unhappiness about the situation in an interview with talkSport radio, but declined to comment further on the claims made against him.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed that Jenas is no longer part of their presenting lineup, and his last appearance on air was earlier in the summer. Jenas, who earned a substantial salary for his work on various BBC programs, also works for talkSport and TNT Sports.
Despite his successful football career and media work, Jenas’ professional future remains uncertain as he navigates the fallout from the recent allegations.
