A story of receiving a wedding invitation from a middle school bully 17 years ago has become a hot topic. The person identified as the bully is now a serving police officer, adding to the controversy.
On the 14th, a post on the anonymous professional community ‘Blind’ read, “Received a wedding invitation from my middle school bully.” The author, Mr. A, shared that he had been a victim of severe bullying by Mr. B during middle school, including being forced to do errands, being stepped on in front of others, and having his phone taken away to send messages.
Mr. A also mentioned incidents of forcing him to eat dead insects and his own spit, and how the bullying lasted for two years from 2nd to 3rd grade, only ending when he entered high school. He expressed his distress at being reminded of those difficult times by a sudden invitation.
He found it incomprehensible why the person who bullied him would invite him to a wedding, and he noted that the fact that the bully is now a police officer made him think something was seriously wrong. Despite feeling confused and distressed at first, Mr. A decided to stand up against the bully.
He shared a screenshot of a conversation with the bully and mentioned receiving threats of defamation lawsuit. Despite facing legal action from the police officer, Mr. A remained determined to confront the situation until the end, believing that it wouldn’t be as painful as it was 17 years ago.
Mr. A concluded by stating his intention to fight back as much as possible, sharing that the original post had been deleted but had garnered criticism on a police station forum where the bully is known to work.
