Located in Gangnam, Seoul, Devil’s Door Central City, with a size of 1300 square meters, is a large complex cultural space where perfect facilities for rich sound and retro-style interior harmonize well. In this unique space with a distinctive atmosphere, the urban indoor jazz festival ‘Devil’s Door Jazz Festa 2024’ will be held.
Now in its 3rd year, the event has been held under the titles ‘Seoul Jazz All-Star 2022’ and ‘Devil’s Door Jazz Festa with Jara Island Jazz Festival 2023’. This year, it will open in a more comfortable and pleasant space for the audience to enjoy jazz. The retro-themed space that evokes the romance of the past will provide a joy similar to traveling abroad. Moreover, with signature menus full of flavor and a variety of wine selections unique to this place, ‘Devil’s Door Jazz Festa 2024’ has established itself as a urban jazz festival brand that ensures sensory satisfaction.
At this festival, a total of 9 teams including the best jazz artists in Korea and invited jazz bands from abroad, around 30 musicians, will perform. The event will feature performances by Dan Nimmer Trio, the first domestic performance through Devil’s Door Jazz Festa 2024, Yuki Futami Trio, Martin Jacobsen Quartet, Jimin Dorothy Trio, and Jaehun Kang Trio. Special collaborations between jazz vocalists Lim Chaehee and pianist Dan Nimmer are also prepared.
As the hosting of ‘Devil’s Door Jazz Festa 2024’, it is hoped that jazz will be perceived not as a difficult or obscure genre, but as music that can easily establish intimacy with the public.
