NCSoft has released the new expansion pack ‘Jantir Whales’ of Guild Wars 2 in North America and Europe on the 20th. Guild Wars series, which has been recognized by global users as a competitive IP, is once again attracting attention with this update.
Guild Wars 2 is a PC online MMORPG developed by NCSoft’s North American development studio, ArenaNet. Since its release in 2012, it has released five expansion packs so far. Starting with ‘Secrets of the ObscureTM’ released in August 2023, it continues to introduce new content through annual expansion pack releases and regular large-scale updates.
In this expansion pack, Guild Wars 2 introduces the ‘Homestead’ housing system for the first time. All expansion pack users can express their identity and create stories in the open world of Tyria with a total of over 300 housing items for customization, farming, resource gathering, and high degree of freedom. Housing items will be added through updates.
Users can also experience ▲2 new maps ‘Lowland Shore’ and ‘Janthir Syntri’ ▲new weapon ‘Spear’ available for all professions ▲update for mount ‘Warclaws’ ▲new world boss event along with the housing system. In future regular updates, new content such as ▲new content for the large-scale instance dungeon ‘Convergence’ with up to 50 participants ▲new raid for up to 10 players after 5 years ▲addition of 2 new maps will be added.
