SK C&C announced on the 25th that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Verizon, one of the world’s largest tech companies. Verizon, which provides services in various areas such as wireless communication, internet services, cloud, and security, operates nine security operation centers and six forensic research labs, monitoring 61 billion security events annually. With a team of over 400 security experts, Verizon handled over 500 incidents last year, demonstrating top-notch expertise in IT incident analysis and response.
As the leading domestic information security provider, SK C&C offers a wide range of information security services, including security monitoring, consulting, penetration testing, incident response, and cloud services, to various industries such as public, financial, communications, manufacturing, and IT. With over 1,500 cybersecurity experts, SK C&C serves over 1,800 customers in Korea with its AI security management platform ‘Secudium.’ As the first Asian company to join the global Cyber Threat Alliance, SK C&C has been recognized for its competitiveness in threat intelligence processing.
Through this partnership, SK C&C and Verizon will engage in comprehensive cooperation, leveraging their security expertise to respond quickly to global security incidents, enhance remote security monitoring services, and provide joint services such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. They will establish a joint incident response system to promptly respond to complex security environments and evolving threats. In the event of a security incident at a manufacturing company operating overseas, SK C&C will handle the incident domestically, while Verizon will jointly provide services overseas.
Furthermore, SK C&C and Verizon will enhance their remote security monitoring services by sharing operational know-how and technology from their security monitoring centers. SK C&C’s security monitoring center collects and processes threat data at a rate of 79 billion records per day and makes more than 50,000 threat judgments daily using AI technology. Verizon, with the largest communication network in the world, will share vast threat intelligence, enabling more accurate threat data analysis and monitoring. They aim to provide services such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessment globally and enhance their business networks and security capabilities.
Verizon’s Robert Le Busque, APAC Head, stated, “Korea is the world’s largest and fastest-growing market, and SK C&C has world-class security capabilities in Korea.” He expressed his delight in collaborating with SK C&C to support companies in utilizing the complexity of the digital environment and building resilience.
